Asphalt Work Thursday September 5, 2013

September 1st, 2013

The West side of the complex needs to be retreated. Holbrook Asphalt Co will be out again on Thursday September 5, 2013 to put another coat on the west side of the complex. The roads will be closed at 7am on the 5th and reopen on Fri September 6th around 11am. Please reference the notice you received on your door for further details.

Dryer Vents

Dear Gateway Village Owner,
As many of you have noticed, there are numerous dryer vents that have bird nests built in them as well as other blockages. Many other vents have broken covers, which could allow birds to get into them.
Dryer vents clogged with bird nests or lint, are a major fire hazard for your unit and surrounding units. Additionally a clogged vent can damage your dryer and increase your energy costs by over working your dryer.
To prevent possible fire hazard and to provide unrestricted airflow to your dryer, the HOA has scheduled Interior Air Solutions to clean all of the dryer vents in the community, at a cost of $25.00 per unit. If you were to hire this work on your own, the cost would be $70 to $120.
This work will be completed on August 21st-22nd, 2013, after which each owner will be billed $25 for the service. To help prevent future bird nests and blockages, the HOA will be paying to have bird blocker dryer vent covers installed. The cleaning service is not optional and every vent will be cleaned and every owner billed $25.00 for the service. There will be no additional charge to the owner for the new bird blocker covers being installed.
You will not need to be home for this cleaning to be completed as the work will be done entirely from the outside of the units. There may be some noise audible within your home as they work to clean the vents.

** If you have had your dryer vent cleaned in the last 60 days, please send us proof of that cleaning. We will not have your dryer vent cleaned and will not charge you the $25.00.

Security System

We are in the process of cleaning up our key card system which allows access to the clubhouse and pools.

In order to activate your key card, please fill out this form and submit it to Advantage Management or the Management Committee (

The form is to be completed by the unit owner. Renters may pick up key cards when written authorization has been provided to the Management Committee from the unit owner. Please have a valid photo i.d. at time of key card pick up.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we upgrade our system.

We are looking for a Gateway Village Community Resident willing to work 3 to 5 hours per month.  Responsibilities include cleaning the parking lots, planters, stairwells, common areas, dumpster areas, and other areas as needed.
The pay is $10 per hour.  Hours and Days of work are flexible.

Please help keep our community clean and attractive by following these common sense rules for proper trash disposal:
  1. Do not dispose of your moving boxes and packing materials in the dumpsters.  Please have your moving company remove and dispose of their packing supplies.
  2. If the dumpster that you normally use is already full, please use another one.  Do not leave it on the ground around the dumpster as the trash removal company will not pick it up.
  3. Do not allow children to dispose of the trash if they are not tall enough or strong enough to lift the lid and put the trash inside.
  4. Do not dispose of Furniture in the dumpsters.
  5. Crush or otherwise flatten all cardboard boxes before disposing of them in the trash.
